Cedar Project Traditional Dining Room
I love designing dining rooms. There’s something so special in creating a space that holds family meals, Saturday morning breakfasts, and the occasional card game. This dining room was no exception.
What we had to work with:
As you can tell, the dining room was grey and bland. The rectangular dining table wasn’t functional, the flooring creaked, and the light was just blah.
The first order of business was replacing the old laminate with Kronoswiss Beach 14mm flooring. We then installed the molding panel boxes, replaced the dated light fixture with classic shaded five-light, added some fresh Snowbound paint by Sherwin Williams, and installed the gorgeous Ballard Designs Beaudry mirror.
The circular table from Rove Concepts was a much more practical fit in this space than the rectangular. Its shape provides enough walkway clearance to the laundry/ pantry door while still comfortably sitting 6.
The painting and Fostoria goblets were both vintage.
Hardware from Emtek Hardware
Table and chairs both from Ballard Designs.
