Elegant Living Room Reveal
I thoroughly enjoyed this living room renovation. We had somewhat of a blank slate to work with starting with a dated Fireplace, boring wall color, old carpet, and minimal light.
This wall was going to be torn down opening up into the kitchen, so we had to make sure that the space flowed together cohesively. We stuck to the color scheme of Snowbound white, charcoal black, and blue to tie in the entry room and dining room.
First and foremost, to point out is this wall, or what used to be a wall, opening up to the brand new kitchen!
Apart from the wall, the first order of business was replacing the old carpet with this beautiful Kronoswiss Beach Flooring.
We then installed panel boxes, a ceiling medallion, and painted the walls with a fresh coat of Snowbound paint.
One of the more dramatic changes to this room was the fireplace. We removed the old stone, built an extension to the wall, and installed stunning slate tiles along with a gorgeous wooden mantle.
This gallery wall is one of my favorite elements in this space. These photos were photographed by our client, who happens to be a phenomenal photographer. Her prints are available HERE for purchase.
The dusty blue drapes were the touch of blue in this space, tying the dining room and entry room together as a cohesive space.
There you have it. This elegant living room is both fresh and classic. With the European inspired wall panels, fireplace, and antique sideboard, paired with the modern acrylic, we have the perfect juxtaposition of styles.
