The KD BLUES Room.

The first room to grace a newcomers’ view as they entered our client’s lovely home was this bland white room. During the initial design consultation, we agreed that this room’s function was a “grown-ups” room where they can enjoy adult conversations with their many friends. Since it is one of the first rooms in the house, we wanted a dramatic entrance into their home that felt elegant and true to who they were.

Our clients have the most impressive WW2 memorabilia I have ever seen, and I knew we needed to implement their love for the old-world in this space. So we ditched the white, drew up some custom builtins, and added vintage ticking fabric drapes and cornices. We also transformed the hallway to create a more elegant entrance.
